Mentoring at UF

Many resources exist at UF for mentors and mentees, both in formal and informal programs. Those that we know about are listed below – please feel free to share other programs so we can add them here!

  • Mentor Academy in Clinical and Translational Science Institute
The Mentor Academy “promotes the development of the next generation of clinical and translational scientists through a culture of support for mentoring and training in optimizing mentoring relationships for mentors and mentees at all levels of career development.”
  • International Mentoring Association (IMA)
UF is a member of the IMA, and the campus Mentoring Affinity Group is an extension of that, facilitated by Antonio Faras, UF’s Chief Diversity Officer. The IMA website has some helpful information on their FAQ page.
  • University Multicultural Mentoring Program (UMMP)
UMMP operates through Multicultural and Diversity Affairs, and provides opportunities for first-year undergraduates to improve their college experience by being paired with a faculty or staff mentor.
